A veteran film actor will headline an eight-part limited series about intelligence operatives during the independence movement, a streaming platform announced on Wednesday.

The show is being described as the platform's largest original production of the year, with filming scheduled to begin next month across three cities.

The actor is also credited as an executive producer, marking his first major work in the format after a career largely in feature films.
