A city court reserved its order on Friday in a closely watched land fraud case, after both sides completed final arguments over allegations that forged ownership documents were used to sell the same disputed farmland to dozens of buyers.

The prosecution had argued the scheme ran for nearly three years before complaints from buyers unable to register their purchases led to the investigation.

The defence maintained that the documents were genuine and that the dispute is a civil matter rather than a criminal one. A verdict is expected within two weeks.
